There Isn't a "Skull and Bones" Riddle for Mike Kolen...Is There?

There Isn’t a “Skull and Bones” Riddle for Mike Kolen…Is There?

As discussed in my first post, Mike Kolen’s death is a riddle for the Sea of Hands play between the Dolphins and the Raiders, as he was the defender closest to ripping the ball away from running back Clarence Davis. The Dolphins and Raiders give us a clue to a deeper riddle.

So the answer is yes…Yes, there is a “Skull and Bones” riddle for Mike Kolen.

Skull and Cross-swords

2023 was one hell of a year for all four major sports in Las Vegas.

In Hockey, Las Vegas won its first major sports championship
In Basketball, Las Vegas hosted the finals of the first-ever In-Season Tournament
In Baseball, the Oakland A’s announced their intent to move to Las Vegas
In Football, Las Vegas hosted the Super Bowl that ended the 2023 season

The numbers 223 and 322 both have Ordinal gematria of 295.

Sea of Hands sums to 295.

This is the only number that Skull and Bones society does not share with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Sea of Hands play paved the way for the Raiders to win Super Bowl IX, their first championship, led by head coach John Madden, a man whose name is now synonymous with American football.

The Raiders are a major part of the Skull and Bones code in the NFL, which is centered around the number 322:

Mike Kolen died at age 76

The nickname of Mike Kolen was Captain Crunch. He lived in Birmingham at the time of his passing.

Madden led the Raiders to their first NFL championship in Super Bowl 9, which was played on the 11th day of the year. To this very day, that remains the earliest date on the calendar that any Super Bowl has been played on.

George Bush was, of course, a graduate of Yale University and member of the Skull and Bones society.

Current Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel graduated from Yale University – the only head coach ever in the NFL to do so. This is particularly important as Walter Camp, the “father of American football,” was also a graduate of Yale and a member of the Skull and Bones fraternity.
