There’s something dark about WrestleMania’s with the number X stamped on it.

WrestleMania X was the only time that the WWE Championship was defended twice in the same night. The man who held the belt was Yokozuna, who passed away at age 34 from heart issues. He lost the title to Bret Hart, who had wrestled his brother Owen earlier in the show. Owen tragically died, also at age 34, in a WWE ring.

Although Danielson is doing just fine and appears to be on a path to a long, prosperous life, there was still a significant tragedy associated with the event.

Just two days after Wrestlemania XXX, former WWE megastar The Ultimate Warrior died of a sudden heart attack at age 54. What made this so shocking was that just three days earlier, he was the headlining inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2014.
