2024's Remake of Snow White Already Facing Backlash

Next March, Disney plans to launch their new ‘woke’ Snow White film starring young actress Rachel Zegler in the feature role.

In my initial search to find something redeeming about this film or the woman playing the main character, I saw this on X / Twitter:

I find it strange someone in such a prominent role wouldn’t capitalize their name, but nevermind that – she has her pronouns listed. As much as I detest the notion that I can’t be trusted to decide how to address your gender, at least it acts as a giant flag that prevents me from interacting with this person, or concerning myself with their opinion.

But, perhaps that would be falling into the Trap of Division that’s been laid for us. I’m opposed to any kind of “Us vs. Them” ideology, but if you’re going to apply it anywhere, do so in response to someone’s desire to control what you say, and not for something ridiculous like their race, gender, or age.

It’s difficult for me to imagine at this point that Disney isn’t acutely aware of the reaction this film will receive. The company has apparently lost $2 billion at the box office in barely over one year, and Snow White doesn’t appear likely to profit much off its budget of nearly $150 million – which excludes advertising and other costly expenses.

Business are receiving massive pushback in response to ‘woke’ promotions and campaigns, but it doesn’t seem to be stopping more companies from jumping aboard. Clearly, a decision has been made to shove this agenda down our throats until we get tired of complaining about it, and they are willing to sacrifice short-term financial profit for long-term societal gain.

As revolting of an individual Rachel Zegler has presented herself as being, it’s probably due to being another product of this corporate cultural movement – the same movement that is willing to Ritually sacrifice her career at the altar of progressiveness before she even understands what happened.
