The 1963 Indiana State Fairgrounds Coliseum Explosion
On Halloween night of 1963, a pair of explosions rocked the Indiana State Fairgrounds Coliseum during a performance of Holiday on Ice. Improper storage of gas tanks containing liquefied petroleum had burst underneath a section of seating, sending both people and debris hurling into the air just minutes before the show was scheduled to end.
With a total of 81 people dying from the incident, it was one of the worst tragedies in Indiana’s history.
However, the Coliseum quickly rebounded, re-opening just over a month later. Not only did the venue resume holding its usual events, but it also played host to a pair of performances by The Beatles during their 1964 North American Tour. It was one of only a handful of sites to hold two shows by the group – interesting here since there were two explosions.
Back in 2021, I made this post that explored the synchronicity linking the Beatles to the Catholic Church. In short, the church had not had a pope named John or Paul in several centuries, but during the Beatles’ decade of the 1960’s, there were two back-to-back popes named John and Paul. Then, the next pope was named John Paul I – the first ever time a double name has been used by the pope, also known as the Bishop of Rome.
This explosion certainly appears to be a part of this overarching riddle. It happened in 1963, just a few months after the death of Pope John XXIII.
The Beatles in Indianapolis
The Beatles were first introduced to America on The Ed Sullivan Show, with a three-week series of performances that ended on February 23rd, or 2/23/1964.

In connection with the death of Pope John XXIII, the Gas explosion during a Holiday on Ice performance in Indianapolis fell on a date with Primary numerology of 123 and 60:

Pope John Paul I died exactly 778 weeks after the explosion. The Beatles played the same arena 7708 weeks after Indiana was admitted to the Union.
The most amazing thing about the Beatles to me is still the remarkable alignments their birthdays share. The original four guitarists of the group were Stuart Sutcliffe, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison.
