Craig T. Nelson & The Coach Connection
So on Friday, we had the death of Jerry Van Dyke. It’s been 20 years, but his most-recent notable role was on the television series “Coach”, where he worked for a character played by Craig T. Nelson, who coached a collegiate football team from Minnesota State University. The show ended its run in 1997.
About 5 months after the show ended, Brad Johnson, playing a home game for the Minnesota Vikings, threw a touchdown pass to himself, by the numbers. It was the first and only time a quarterback has ever done that – until Saturday, when Marcus Mariota threw one to himself in the Titans’ playoff comeback win against the Chiefs.
As highlighted in those linked posts, the two touchdown throws were aligned with the total solar eclipses of 1998 and 2017. After realizing the connection to the show Coach, I decided to check out Craig T. Nelson’s numbers and see if anything stood out.
Well, it didn’t take long:
“Time” = 144 (Jewish)
“April Fourth” = 144 (English Ordinal)
“Forty-four” = 144 (English Ordinal)
44+44 = 88. Van Dyke died 88 days before Nelson’s birthday.
“Forty-four” = 99 (Reverse Ordinal)
“Craig Theodore Nelson” = 99 (Full Reduction)
“Craig Theodore Nelson” = 99 (Reverse Full Reduction)
But this is what makes me grin:
“Craig T. Nelson” = 137 / 187 / 130 (Ordinal / Reverse / Jewish)
“Total eclipse” = 137 / 187 / 130 (Ordinal / Reverse / Jewish)
“Total eclipse” = 47 (Full Reduction)
“Time” = 47 (English Ordinal)
The 47th prime number is 211.
“Craig T. Nelson” = 2011 (Squares)
“Spokane, Washington” = 211 (English Ordinal)
Coach debuted on 2/28/89:
“ליקוי (Eclipse)” = 57 (Hebrew Ordinal)
“Moon” = 57 (English Ordinal)
In the show, he played a character named “Hayden” = 57 (English Ordinal)
“ליקוי החמה המלא (Total solar eclipse)” = 119 (Hebrew Ordinal)
“Eclipse” = 119 (ALW Kabbalah)
The show’s run ended on 5/14/97:
“Solar eclipse” = 134 (English Ordinal)
“Eclipse” = 33 (Full Reduction)
“Hayden Fox” = 33 (Reverse Full Reduction)
