This is a bizarre story. Mário Sabino was a gold medal winner at the 2003 Pan Am Games in Judo. Following his sporting career, he took up a job as a police officer in the state of Sao Paulo. Yesterday, he was shot and killed by his partner, who allegedly also killed himself following an argument between the two.
