Google Celebrates 100th Anniversary of Route 66 and 60th of Satanic Church
In this post, we dive into a terrific display of numerology displayed by Google, the military industrial complex’s facade for global technological data collection and surveillance. Of course, they also provide some amazing web services, but we’re putting all of that aside for the sake of knowledge today.
This isn’t even the first time I’ve decoded a Route 66 Google Doodle. In 2022, they had a similar, albeit more intricate tribute, on April 30th, the exact same date.
Google’s previous Doodle from 2022 marked the 96th anniversary of the road’s naming.

The Church of Satan was founded the controversial Anton LaVey exactly 60 years ago today in the year ’66:
666 is the Number of the Beast according to the Book of Revelation:

The number 66 is also important to the Skull and Bones society, as not only is it the product of 3×22, Sixty-six also matches Skull and Bones in basic gematria.
