The Sinking of the MV Sewol
The MV Sewol was a ferry that sunk off the coast of South Korea on 16th April 2014. 304 people, mostly schoolchildren, died in the disaster, 7 other rescue workers were killed and there were multiple suicides that followed. The captain of the ship was charged with murder and sentenced to life imprisonment and several other crew members received harsh penalties.

The reaction to the disaster by the government and media drew heavy criticism and this, amongst other things, lead to the imprisonment of President Park Geun-Hye and the downfall of her government.
It was later alleged that Choi Soon-sil, the daughter of a cult leader, had ordered the prosecution of a Japanese journalist on charges of defamation for claiming that she had a secret meeting with the president after the disaster. It was also alleged that she had formed a cult called the “Eight Fairies” and was masterminding government policy and decision-making during Park’s administration. She remains in prison today on various charges such as abuse of power, bribery and interfering with government.

We discussed this event on the livestream for the release of the AstroNumeric calculator, but I wanted to make a proper post about it and get into the astrology a little bit more.
Kim Il-sung, the Sun and Perfect Numbers
This story begins with Kim Il-Sung, the founding president of North Korea, who was born the same day the Titanic sunk.
The MV Sewol was a Korean ship that sunk 102 years after that day.
Kim Il-sung was not his birth name, he in fact changed his name later in life. The normal spelling of Il-sung is also different from the standard romanization, perhaps chosen for this perfect number numerology; 6 letters, and gematria of 28 and 496.
The MV Sewol sank on the day leaving 259 days in the year.
Kim Il-sung can be translated as “Become the Golden Sun“.
His birthday is celebrated as the most important annual holiday in North Korea as the “Day of the Sun“, which is “Taeyangjol” in Korean.

The MV Sewol sank on a day with 54, 27 and 18 date numerology.
President Park Geun-Hye
The MV Sewol sank 73 days after President Park’s birthday.
This event occurred during Brown lunation 1129.
She became president of South Korea on 25th February 2013.
It was 415 days after she became the president of South Korea.
Park Geun-Hye was born 911 weeks before the Moon landing.
This was also 181 weeks after the Republic of Korea was established on 15th August 1948.
The Moon Landing
The Moon landing occurred on the day of an exact conjunction of the Moon, Jupiter and Uranus at 0° of Libra. This is the exact half way point of the Zodiac, which makes it the 181st degree. 0 degrees of cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) are called the “world points”. Major transits that occur at these points are said to affect the whole world.
The moon landing occurred on the date 7/20. The constellation of Aquarius is said to represent the figure Ganymede from Greek mythology. In the myth, Ganymede is taken up by an eagle to Mount Olympus to serve as cup bearer for the gods. The largest moon of Jupiter is also called Ganymede in recognition of this myth.
In the story of the moon landing, man was taken up to the heavens in a lunar module called the “Eagle” and landed on the Moon on the day of a Jupiter–Moon–Uranus conjunction. Uranus is also the ruling planet of Aquarius.
Park Geun-Hye was born on the 33rd day of the year, with 333 days remaining in the year.
Park Geun-Hye was born on the day of an exact square between Jupiter and Uranus.
The next president of South Korea after Park Geun-Hye was Moon Jae-in, who was born 51 weeks after her.
Moon Jae-in became President on 5/10, 15 weeks after his birthday.
9/11 and the Age of Aquarius
The MV Sewol sank just after a lunar eclipse, 720 Plutonian days after 9/11, another event with Age of Aquarius themes.
We are currently in the transition period between the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius, when the Sun at the spring equinox will move into the constellation of Aquarius due to the precession of the equinoxes. Pisces has a core theme of duality because there are two fish in the constellation, whereas Aquarius has more of a theme of unification because there is just one person.
On 9/11, the twin towers, representing the Sun and the Moon, were eclipsed into one tower.
Total Lunar Eclipse and Revelation 12
All of this is important because the MV Sewol sank just a few hours after a total lunar eclipse in the constellation of Virgo, conjunct the star Spica.
Let’s consider the significance of this. It is a blood moon coming out of the “belly” of Virgo, the maiden, synched with the birth of the founding President of North Korea, a man who many would call a bloody dictator. Two women were publicly blamed for this event and how it was handled. In Vedic astrology, the 0th degree of the Zodiac is set at 180° opposite the star Spica, so this eclipse can also be said to have occurred at the 181st degree of the Vedic Zodiac.
3 and a half years later, this alignment occurred in the constellations of Virgo and Leo after Jupiter had spent around 9 months inside the “belly” of Virgo.
The woman (Virgo) is “clothed” with the sun, the moon is at her feet, she has just “given birth” to Jupiter, and on her head are the 9 stars of Leo, Mercury, Mars and Venus, making a crown of 12 stars.
This was 41 months and 8 days after the sinking of the MV Sewol.
The Astrology of the Incident
Let’s look at the astrology chart for the incident, we can see a grand square formation in cardinal signs made by Mercury/Uranus, Jupiter, Mars and Pluto. Cardinal signs are associated with “action, initiative and force“.
Square aspects usually bring “tension, struggles, and conflict, with each planet not seeing eye to eye“. Squares represent something being manifested in the world, like the square foundation of a building. When it is made real, you can begin to see the problems with it. The next aspect made in a planetary cycle is a trine, when you can start to analyse, synthesize and fix the problems.
There is a square aspect being made between Jupiter and Uranus, just like in the birth chart of Park Geun-Hye. Idealistic Uranus and expansive, risk taking Jupiter are making their hard aspect, when the negative impacts of impractical and overly eccentric, perhaps “impulsive”, decisions and ideas become visible. Choi Soon-sil and her cult allegedly forced Park Geun-Hye and her government to make horrific decisions which apparently lead to hundreds of deaths and countless lives being destroyed.
There is also a square aspect being made between Mars and Pluto. Mars represents aggression and violence, while Pluto represents death, transformation and the Atomic – taking small ideas and blowing them up to a huge proportion. Aspects between Mars and Pluto, especially the hard square aspect, can therefore represent acts of extreme violence, confrontation, manipulation, control and ruthlessness that gets blown out of proportion. It can also mean the “exercise of power behind the scenes” and “revealing or concealing dark things.”
As an example, the Abu Ghraib torture scandal broke shortly after an exact opposition between Mars and Pluto on 24th April 2004. In a full moon, the moon goes opposite the Sun and everything comes to light. The opposition between Mars and Pluto therefore saw those acts of ruthlessness, cruelty and control (torture) coming into the light for the world to see.
Mars, which represents action, is in Libra, which represents balance. It is “detriment” in Libra, meaning that its effect is more weakly expressed. This usually means that it’s difficult to take action because of having to weigh up lots of different ideas leading to indecision and procrastination. However, Mars is in a rare retrograde cycle which occurs only every couple of years, meaning that it is not functioning normally.
This, combined with the hard square aspects to risk taking Jupiter and Pluto, which rules death, and the opposition with eccentric and rebellious Uranus are bringing out the worst in Mars. Mars is also opposite Mercury, which rules transportation. You could therefore say that this arrangement represents imbalanced action, just like how the captain of the ship took reckless, risky action which lead to the ship, a mode of transportation, becoming imbalanced, sinking and causing death.
All of this toxic, negative and destructive energy was released just a few hours after a blood Moon, when the Moon is opposite the Sun but not receiving it’s normal light. The Moon is cut off and separated from the Sun by the Earth, a more divisive alignment than the unifying solar eclipse, quite the opposite as it were.
Final Thoughts
The purpose of this post is to spread wisdom and understanding to those who seek it. I think that this post shows that there is more going on with these kinds of incidents than even a solid understanding of numerology will give you, a deeper spiritual purpose that is in God’s hands, things that God allows to happen for reasons that it is difficult to understand from a normal human perspective. The appropriate response should be to seek the Kingdom of Heaven, to seek wisdom and understanding and to follow God, rather than blind outrage or calls for violence, to stop and consider your place in this world and question what you think you know. This kind of knowledge should be treated as a precious gift from the Holy Spirit and used to serve others, rather than manipulate and control. Whatever truly caused this event to happen, the theme apparently being expressed here is that it happened because certain people sought to use spirituality as a means to power for themselves rather than make themselves humble before God, and they and many others paid a heavy price for it. Those are my thoughts, at least.
