Comedy Central Continues to Mock Gematria By the Numbers
Back in 2022, I made this post after Comedy Central uploaded a segment from The Daily Show featuring Jordan Klepper. In the 2-minute clip, Klepper visits a Trump rally in Wisconsin (my home state) and asks questions about the mystical practice of gematria with supporters of the presidential candidate.
The upload to Twitter / X on August 11th, 2022 was a tribute to the Gematrinator website, as proven by their mock-up of the calculator seen on the left:
The segment is exactly what you would expect from the mainstream media – smug, mocking, and condescending. Klepper particularly picks on a woman who clearly has a very base-level understanding of the study, making it easy for the fledgling cable channel to discredit and make fun of this incredible, transformative knowledge.
Someone asked me about this clip today, so I went to YouTube to look it up. Instead of finding the original upload, however, I instead came across this video, which was posted on April 24th of 2025, just a few months ago.
The 141st Prime number is 811
The clip was first uploaded on 8/11
As the vast majority of people remain sound asleep to the wonderful magic occurring in our world on a never-ending basis, their ignorance is reflected in the video’s comments. In our current tribalistic society, it’s expected for them to follow Jordan’s lead and laugh at the “other side,” willfully choosing to remain foolish about a topic they’ve never learned about, much less even heard of.
But therein lies the challenge of speaking Truth. If most of this world’s inhabitants weren’t clueless to the simple numerical nature of our alphabet, I wouldn’t have uprooted my life in an effort to share this information. There’s no sense in being frustrated at anyone when those people represent the same audience I’d ultimately like to reach.
You have to have a bit of appreciation for what’s happening here though. There is great humor to be found in a network using numerology to make fun of numerology, and then later attributing those same numbers to incite even more reactions from their fanbase who remain utterly bewildered of how they are being mocked.
Thanks again, Comedy Central, for the increase in site traffic when I needed it the most. Next time, though, why don’t you find the balls to interview someone who actually knows what they’re talking about?
I’m not holding my breath for that.
