My last post on this blog was about a new jersey number. As I wrote it, I kept thinking ‘what will happen in New Jersey?’ Well that very night, we got our answer, as Johnny Gaudreau and his brother were killed by a Drunk driver while cycling.
This is the second time I’ve Blogged about the death of an active player from the Columbus Blue Jackets. On Independence Day of 2021, goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks was killed in a tragic accident involving fireworks. See my post on that from the following day.
They both represented the hockey team from Columbus, Ohio.
