This race in Australia on Palm Sunday had a major riddle for Max Emlian Verstappen.
Max Verstappen had to exit the Australian Grand Prix while running in 2nd place after his car broke out in flames. It was his first retirement since the 2022 Australian Grand Prix, when his afternoon ended while running in 2nd place after his car broke out in flames.
This year, Max was trying to win his 10th consecutive race. 10 years ago, Sebastian Vettel was trying to win his 10th straight race in Australia. In both grand prix, each driver had to pull into the pit lane at the end of their fourth lap and retire their car. Lewis Hamilton retired from both races due to engine problems as well.
Verstappen entered this weekend having won every race since last year in Singapore. That grand prix was also won by Carlos Sainz Jr. Notably, both races ender under caution after George Russell, who is Lewis Hamilton’s teammate on Mercedes, crashed on the final lap while trying to make a pass.
