Manchester City Completes Treble the Same Day the Unabomber Dies
Manchester City experienced the ultimate futbol glory this week, as they completed a “Treble” – winning their domestic league (Premier League), their domestic cup (FA Cup), and the continental club championship (UEFA Champions League).
In 2017, Manchester, England allegedly suffered an unthinkable tragedy when the Manchester Arena was bombed following a concert by American singer Ariana Grande.
This makes it extremely interesting that on the same day that Man City completed its rare feat, the “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski reportedly committed suicide:

To win the Champions League, Manchester City had to defeat Inter Milan of Serie A (Italy) and their midfielder Marcelo Brozovic. A couple of years ago, Brozovic caused a bit of a stir when he made the peculiar choice to have a bomb tattooed onto his neck:

The fact that the Unabomber’s first name is Ted is rather compelling. There is currently an Apple TV series called Ted Lasso. In 2021, Ted Lasso aired an episode called Man City, which featured a cameo by Citizens’ coach Pep Guardiola.
