Bengals RB Cedric Benson Died 911 Days Before Super Bowl
In August of 2019, I made this post on the death of running back Cedric Benson following a motorcycle accident. Benson rushed for over 4,000 yards during his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, so let’s review this now that they’ve unexpectedly made it to the Super Bowl.
The crash happened on RTM 2222 in the lead-up to the Super Bowl that was played on 2/2/2020. This year’s Super Bowl falls in 2022.

Madden died on 12/28, which fell 103 days before his 86th birthday on 4/10. He died on the same day as Harry Reid, who had the Las Vegas airport named after him earlier in the month. Madden coached the Raiders, who now play in Las Vegas.
