227 (TV Series) – By the Numbers
This might be one of the things I’ve been asked about the most. In 1985, a show called 227 premiered on NBC. 227 is of course a number I spend more time talking about than just about any other. See why 227 is so significant in the study of numerology and gematria.
As shown in the linked slide, 227 has everything to do with the circle. 227 is also the Hebrew gematria of both “Total eclipse” and “The United States of America”:
This slide has some related info. The show takes place in Washington, D.C.
“Washington, D.C.” = 137 (O) | 187 (RO)
“Total eclipse” = 137 (O) | 187 (RO)
Independence Day in the United States is 7/4
The lead couple in the series is named Mary & Lester Jenkins
The female lead role was played by Marla Gibbs
She was born on Flag Day, June 14th.
The 74th prime number is 373. Gibbs was 3073 weeks old on the date of the series’ finale:
Gibbs was 2830 weeks old when the show debuted:
1433 is the 227th prime number
Her co-star was Hal Williams
Pi is related to 1776. If you add up each permutation of the first three digits of pi, you get 1776:
314+341+134+143+413+431 = 1776
Measuring between the birthdays of Hal Williams and Marla Gibbs:
Williams was 274 days after his last birthday when the show debuted:
The digits Two seven four have an Extended value of 1776:
On this same date, Williams was 17076 days old:
The daughter of the couple was played by Regina King
She was born exactly 32 years, 32 days after her TV father:
Marla Gibbs’s neighbor in the show, who later becomes her good friend, is played by Jackée Harry. In real life, they’re exactly 302 months apart:
The date 227 debuted, September 14th, is the date that leaves 108 days in the year. In 1985, that date also had 108 numerology:
“Geometry” = 108 (O) | 108 (RO)
“Full Moon” = 108 (O) | 108 (RO)
Marla Gibbs was born on the 165th day of the year
When the show debuted, Gibbs was 651 months old
When the show debuted, Williams was 561 months old
The show’s theme, sung by Marla Gibbs, was called:
Both Gibbs and Williams were born on the 14th, and the show debuted on the 14th. The odds of these three dates falling on the same day of the month is about 1 in 900 if this were random (hint: it’s not).
The name of the woman who wrote the original play the TV series is based on is “Christine Houston” = 777 (Satanic)
Just for fun…measuring from the day I was born to the date of the show’s debut:
This is also a span of 103 days or 3 months, 11 days.
