Mike Smith – Kentucky Derby Winning Jockey
I completely forgot to look at who was riding Justify during the Kentucky Derby in my decode from yesterday. Thankfully, Dan Behrendt picked up on some more interesting alignments here. It’s nice to still be able to learn from those who have been doing this longer than I.
So recall in my post from yesterday, there was a lot of 136 in this event. 13 is a number tied directly to horseracing through gematria, and 13 is the 6th prime. The 2018 Derby, which is held annually in Louisville, was won by Justify, whose trainer is Bob Baffert.
Justify became the first colt in 136 years to win without having raced as a 2-year-old:
But naturally, there’s more. Justify was ridden to the finish line by jockey Mike Smith.
Measuring from his victory on Saturday to his next birthday:
And just to make it even more creepy…the horse he rode to victory, Justify, was foaled a span of 136 days before Smith’s birthday:
Recall how trainer Bob Baffert was specially-connected to the number 33. Turns out the jockey also has a similar connection:
He’s also got some interesting mathematical gematria:
“Michael Earl Smith” = 470 (Primes)
“Michael Earl Smith” = 1109 (Trigonal)
1109 is a Saturnian number. In Hebrew, “Saturn” = 713, which is the 11th prime number multiplied by the 9th prime number. “Saturn” = 119 (Francis Bacon), “All-seeing eye” = 119 (O)
1109 is the 186th prime number. 186 is 93 × 2
