It’s highly unlikely this story is real. What’s more probable is that the fan, whose face cannot be seen, and whose name has not been disclosed, was planted behind the reporter to make this gesture for the news story.
If it were real, it makes little sense. This guy is sitting in really good seats, meaning a lot of his hard-earned money is going directly into the pocketbooks of non-white athletes. He must be a pretty dumb racist, right?
If this were real, shame on the media for reporting this as a national story. The “circle” hand gesture isn’t limited to just racist symbolism, but even if it were intended that way, why provoke the masses by bringing it to their attention? Of course, the obvious answer is that the mainstream media is here to divide us.
