Charles Leclerc Signs Long-Term Extension w/ Ferrari F1 Team
It’s intriguing that this happened just two days before sessions begin at the Monaco Grand Prix. To this point, the pinnacle of Leclerc’s career was a pole-to-finish victory at the 2024 Monaco GP, on a track he literally grew up next to.

Although he’s never won a World Driver’s Championship, Leclerc is one of the Formula One drivers I’ve written the most about. His career is of particular significance, because it is immersed in Death.
In 2017, the year before Lecler entered F1, his father passed away. While on his deathbed, Charles admittedly lied to his him, saying he had signed to drive for Ferrari. This was only half-true, as he had signed with an F1 team for the next season, but it was for Sauber Motorsports.
However, he spent only one season with Ferrari’s customer team before climbing the ladder and suiting up for the Scuderia. A big reason he was able to ascend to one of the sport’s premiere teams so rapidly was because of the suggestion of his godfather, Jules Bianchi, another driver signed to Ferrari’s academy.
In 2014, Bianchi, a Frenchman, suffered a devastating wreck in Japan, which resulted in his death a year later. To date, he is the most recent Formula One driver to die from injuries sustained in a race. Check out my posts explaining how that was packed with Skull & Bones numerology.
The second-highest tier of single-seat racing is Formula 2. The last F2 driver to die from a crash was Anthoine Hubert. He was French and died on the same date Princess Diana was killed in Paris. Charles Leclerc won his first F1 Grand Prix a day later at the same track.
