Jo Adell, Who Previously Robbed Three Home Runs, Gives One Up Off Head

It’s always nice when the media points out the synchronicity, so I don’t have to do it on my own.

In Tuesday night’s game against the Colorado Rockies, Angels outfielder Jo Adell was involved in a play he’d rather forget. In the fourth inning, a fly ball he should have caught bounced off of his head and over the fence, giving Rockies first baseman T.J. Rumfield his eighth home run of the season.

This has happened on several occasions over the years, but every time it does, we’re reminded of the same thing happening to former MVP Jose Canseco, who was playing for the Rangers when a ball similarly landed on his head and then over the wall. See the play by clicking here.

The ball off Canseco’s head came off the bat of Carlos Martinez. Rather intriguingly, Carlos passed away back in 2006 at the age of just 40.

Incredibly, this is the exact duration between the births of Jo Adell and T.J. Rumfield, who was born exactly 69 weeks before the attacks of September the 11th:

58 and 69 are significant numbers to the 9/11 code.
