Pro golfer Fuzzy Zoeller enjoyed a successful career, winning 19 PGA Tour tournaments, including two Major championships at the 1979 Masters Tournament and the 1984 U.S. Open.

However, Fuzzy was not best-known for those titles. Instead, he was recognized as the player who made questionable remarks about the emergence of Tiger Woods after the 1997 Masters Tournament.

The comments he made, although not intentionally cruel, were certainly racial and rather unacceptable for a public figure, even by the standards of the 1990’s. As a result, he received heaps of criticism and even death threats. Zoeller later admitted that it almost ruined his life, expressing deep regret in the aftermath.
