Buddy Holly was born as Charles Hardin Holley. Perhaps that was an indicator of the fact he would end up dying in a Plane crash.

Charles Holley was the birth name of Buddy Holly, whose second and final album was called That’ll Be the Day. These all have matching gematria with the Hebrew word for Circle.
143 has the same digits as 3.14, the first three digits of Pi. The 1972 song American Pie by singer-songwriter Don McLean repeats the phrase “The Day the Music Died”, referring to the day Buddy and his band were killed.

When Buddy was still a teenager, he opened for Elvis Presley in his hometown of Lubbock, Texas. This is what convinced him to pursue a music career. After his plane crash in ’59, another Elvis, punk rocker Elvis Costello, styled his look after Holly.
Buddy Holly died in Grant Township, Iowa, while Elvis would later die in Memphis.
American “Pi”
The song American Pie by Don McLean, also known as The Day the Music Died, was recorded on 5/26 of 1971:
143 are the same three digits in 3.14, or Three point one four, which are the first three digits of Pi.
Buddy Holly was born with the last name Holley. His band was called The Chirping Crickets.

Don McLean and American Pie both share 243 gematria with Memphis, Tennessee, where Elvis Aaron Presley died.
Don McLean was born 9 years, 25 days after Buddy Holly and exactly 925 weeks before Yann Martel:

Life of Pi, which was written by Yann Martel, was first published in September 11th, 2001 – the same day as the worst terror attacks in U.S. history:
Eclipse from the same Saros series are separated by exactly 223 Lunar phases.
223 and 322 are the first two numbers with Ordinal gematria of 314.
3.14 resolves the Mathematics of the circle.
Buddy Holly’s self-titled album Buddy Holly, the middle of three records he is credited on, was released on a date with Primary numerology of 99, which was the date leaving 314 days in the year:
Elvis “left the building” a span of 31 weeks, 4 days after his birthday and 314 days before Yann Martel’s:
Elvis was a span of exactly 1,314 weeks old after the 1960 Eclipse, which fell 3 years, 104 days before Yann Martel was born:
