Juan Soto & The Number 22

Hey all! Adam here. I am Derek’s business partner at Gematrinator 85. While Derek is deeply decoding deaths (alliteration!), I’m here to document things that catch my attention. Check out all of my posts in the category “Adam’s Archive”.

Juan Soto Gifts Brett Baty a Tahoe in Appreciation of Jersey #22

Fitting that this post comes on a date with a bunch of twos in it, 2/22.

Juan Soto, one of baseball’s best, has always chosen #22 to be his jersey number.

Soto now has the #22 jersey in blue and orange with the New York Mets.

In recent news, Soto received the #22 jersey as he starts his career with the New York Mets, who play their home games in Queens in New York, New York.

"New York New York" = 222 (Ordinal)

The player that recently gave up the #22 to Soto, Brett Baty, has received an appreciation gift from Soto in the form of a brand new vehicle. No, it wasn’t an Escalade. It wasn’t a Range Rover. And no, it wasn’t a Mercedes-Benz. It was a Chevy Tahoe.

Baty, whose initials are B.B. like 2.2. has now switched to jersey #7 for the Mets. Where have we seen 22 and 7 before? Derek has been all over those numbers. 22 and 7 have a significant Pi connection, as 22/7 = 3.14, the number that commonly represents Pi.

This gift from Soto to Baty was given on 2/20 of course, a date not only containing numerology of 22, but also the day of the year that leaves 314 days remaining in the year.

What’s even more intriguing about this 2/20 date is that it is exactly 22 days before the upcoming Solar Eclipse, which just so happens to be on Pi Day, or 3/14. 🤨

Derek has also pointed out eclipse connections with Soto in the past. There are plenty more, but I’ll save that for another time.

On that 2/20/2025 date, Soto was also 1373 weeks old. This may seem a bit obscure, but 1373 just so happens to be the 220th prime number.

Soto and Baty have some interesting deeper connections as well.

The two players are exactly 1 year, 0 months, 2 weeks, and 5 days apart in age. That stands out, as Soto’s birthday is literally 10/25. Remember it was a vehicle that was gifted to Baty.

The day that Baty received his gift of appreciation, he was exactly 25 years and 100 days old. Again, the same digits of Soto’s 10/25 birthday.

Soto and a Flurry of Twos

This past October, Soto was on the other New York, New York team, the Yankees, living a very real pattern of twos that seem to follow him.

In Game 5, Soto hit a three-run home run that proved to be the deciding hit to send the Yankees to the World Series:

Click the image to watch the three-run home run by Soto.

This home run comes off the bat of #22, who was batting 2nd in the lineup. He already had 2 hits going into this final at-bat, while the game was tied 2-2.

If that isn’t enough, the pitch clock reaches 2 seconds remaining while the pitcher delivers his 22nd pitch.

Oh, yes, the pitcher you ask? That was Hunter Gaddis. His life path number is 22, as he was born on 04/09/1998. Go ahead, run his numerology here.

Gaddis made his MLB debut on 8/5/2022. Take a look at how long he had been in the MLB when Soto hit that home run off him:

Looking at the Soto-Gaddis connection, these two major leaguers are exactly 200 days apart by birth:

Sometimes the stars (and subsequently numbers) align perfectly, as if they unlock these experiences right in front of our eyes. I know, I know… It was NOT a two-run homer run. That would be the too much right? It was in fact a three-run home run. Oh wait…!

I could see why Soto wanted #22 again. It seems to work for him!

EDIT – Juan Soto hit his first home run in his very first at-bat as a Met today. Yes, today. 2/22.  He was batting 2nd in the lineup, and the pitch that he hit technically made the count 2-2. 💫😆💫
