Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, Father of Kobe, Dies @ 69
Jellybean spent more time in the NBA with Philadelphia than any other team. His son Kobe was born there and would go on to play his high school ball in the city.
Joe Bryant, whose listed height was 6’9″, has passed away at the age of 69. His son Kobe Bryant died in January of 2020. The next month, the NBA held its 69th All-Star Game and named the game’s MVP award after him.
