Japan Becomes Fifth Nation to Make a Moon Landing

Japan’s moon lander in 2024 is called Smart Lander for Investigating Moon.

Japan’s government space program is called JAXA, which was founded on October 1st of 2003. Although NASA was officially established in July of 1969, operations did not begin until October 1st.

JAXA stands for Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency.

The first successful manned Moon landing was conducted by NASA, who was established in ’58. The first man to walk on the Moon was Neil Armstrong.
