Kelvin Kiptum Breaks Marathon World Record in Chicago
I remember about 12-13 years ago looking at the Marathon World Record and wondering if it was possible anyone would break the two-hour barrier during my lifetime.
That was when the record was about three and a half minutes over the milestone. Kelvin Kiptum just ran the Marathon in 2:00:35, meaning a pace of just better than one second per mile better would claim the achievement. I’d say there’s a pretty good chance.
This happened just three days after the death of Chicago native and Bears legend Dick Butkus, which was extremely synced up to Latin gematria.
