Sean Duffy originally rose to the national spotlight as a cast member of MTV’s of The Real World. It was the only season to be filmed in New England, and was centered around their adventures while living in Boston:

This was noteworthy to me, because when most of the world was first introduced to her in 1994, she was tearfully weeping after an assailant reportedly attacked her knee with a baton in an attempt to keep her out of the Olympics:
