Dick Butkus’s Cause of Death Revealed
The death of Dick Butkus last month is one of the most stunning examples of numerology since the inception of this Blog. Check out my video from the day after it happened.
Yesterday’s update revealed that he died of a Stroke.
Hall of Fame linebacker Dick Butkus died from a Stroke at his home in California.
88 is 8 × 11
In my original post on his death, the number 88 was of strong focus. Chicago sits right along the 88th meridian on our globe:
Dick’s full name was Richard Marvin Butkus. He died at the age of 80.
Bears founder George Halas died at age 88. The Bears are currently coached by Matt Eberflus.
Butkus died on the birthday of Herb Kent, a Radio legend whose 8-letter name begins with the 8th letter and died at age 88 just before the Chicago Cubs won the World Series.

The news on 11/9 fell 11 months, 9 days before Ditka’s next birthday.
Dick’s stroke on 10/05 was allso called a Cerebrovascular accident. This is not a term I’ve ever seen before, nor should the word accident really be applied here:
